A lovely way to turn your place card into a wedding favor is to place the card into a small picture frame.  Your table will look elegant and your guest will have their name framed.  It is a great way to keep the table from getting too cluttered with place cards and favors, along with everything else that goes on the table.  It also makes your guests feel a little special when they see their name framed. You can also print a tag with the guest’s name and attach to any other type of favor.

We saw one bride who had her baker write every guests name on their cookie favor and then have it wrapped in cellophane.  The cookie is then a wedding favor treat and a place card all in one.  A nice touch is to tie the cello bag with ribbon that has been printed with the names of the bride and groom.

A CD with your wedding music (and do not forget the first dance song) is something that you can customize with the help of your desktop computer.  The label could have a lovely photo of the two of you, but you can also place the guests name on the CD, turning it into a place card as well.

A perfect idea for a beach wedding is to have seashells fitted with a ribbon, hanging on a tree.  Have a calligrapher write each guest’s name on the shell or sand dollar.   Now you have a seashell Christmas ornament with your guest name on it, working as both the wedding favor and the place card.
