Any bride that takes the time to make her own wedding favors will certainly be praised for her efforts.  Not only that, it is such a personal touch.  Not every bride will have the time for this but if you do, here are a few ideas.

Candles are always an appreciated gift.  Candles are easy and fun to make.  The easiest to make and best quality are soy candles.  Soy candles burn clean and are an eco-friendly wedding favor. sea candles

There are also some really easy recipes for making your own soap.  You can make your own soap for about $8.00 a gallon.  Cut in into small bars and wrap it in pretty fabric that matches your wedding colors and finish it with a coordinated ribbon.

Gather up a health helping of your favorite dry herb mixture.  Place them in small jars.  You can print labels explaining the contents giving your guests an opportunity to cook a meal with a little pinch of love.

Everybody loves olive oil.  Pore the oil into individual bottles, place a long stick of rosemary in the bottle as well and cork it up.  Again, a personal label will send the message of love to your guests.

A lovely idea is to purchase some beautiful pears.  You will want to make sure that they are in season, and that you will be able to find them with their steams still in tack.  From the steam, hang a note the reads, “From a Great Pair”.
